Elbow Replacement Procedure
1. Preoperative Assessment:
A detailed assessment, including imaging studies, is performed to determine the extent of the elbow damage and the most suitable treatment approach.
Dr. S. Manivannan will explain the surgical procedure and the type of implant to be used.
2. Surgical Process:
The damaged portions of the elbow are removed and replaced with metal and plastic components.
The procedure is typically performed under general anesthesia and takes a few hours.
3. Recovery and Rehabilitation:
Post-surgery, a personalized rehabilitation program is initiated to restore elbow movement and function.
Pain management and supportive care are provided to ensure a smooth recovery.
